Kevin Meek joined the Grace Community Church staff in August 2019 as our lead pastor.

Prior to coming to GCC, Kevin served for over six years as senior pastor for Trinity Church in South Bend, Indiana, preceded by an interim pastor role at Covenant Baptist Church in the Chicago suburbs, shepherding them through a transition to become a campus of The Orchard Evangelical Free Church.  Preceding those roles, Kevin planted and led new campuses for two large multi-site evangelical churches (The Chapel and The Orchard) in the Chicagoland area.  Prior to his entering the ministry, Kevin spent years in the business world in the Detroit and Chicago areas, serving as a project manager in the software industry and as an IT consultant during his time with Accenture and Deloitte.

By way of education, Kevin earned a Master of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (Deerfield, Illinois) in 2008, an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan in 1997, and a B.S. in Industrial & Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan in 1991.

Kevin and his wife, Laura, both grew up in Metro Detroit, met at Ford Motor Company, and have a heart for reaching the area for Christ.  They have three kids, Joshua (at Taylor University), Jacob and Rachel.

In his spare time, Kevin loves spending time with the Lord, spending time with his family in any capacity, reading, running (though much slower than his boys these days), traveling and all things sports (both participating and watching his kids and his favorite teams play).

Dan Steinhart - Pastor of Growth and Maturity

Dan Steinhart joined the Grace team in November of 2016. He brings a varied employment portfolio with him. He spent ten years in healthcare, working in the ER as well as facilitating large process-redesign projects for a local hospital system. He’s also spent significant time working in manufacturing, supporting the auto industry.

Dan’s heart has always been focused on ministry in the local church. While working in healthcare he served as the primary Worship Leader for 17 years at Grace Church in White Lake, MI. He also served there as an Elder and Pastor for twenty years and as the lead pastor at Grace Church in Waterford, MI.

Dan attended Moody Bible Institute where he received a diploma in Bible and Theology. He has a B.A. in History from Trinity College (Deerfield, IL) where he also met his wife, Jeanne (1983). Most recently (2009), he completed a Masters in Spiritual Formation and Leadership through Spring Arbor University (SAU). Dan is also an adjunct professor for SAU.

Dan and Jeanne have one son, Dan, who is married to Casie and lives in Grand Rapids, MI. You would think that with all the house projects he does, that he would enjoy that, but not so much! What he really enjoys is playing his guitar, reading, and taking photographs… lots and lots of photographs!
