Our Mission
We exist to transform our lives, homes, and communities into the home of God
Our Values
Relationships
Christ has come to establish a new family, the household of faith. We’re told in Scripture that these relationships are brother/sister, mother/daughter father/son types of relationships. As we open our lives to one another in genuine, authentic, vulnerable community, God transforms us into the image of His Son. As we live in community, we actually reflect the Triune nature of God, who eternally lives in community.
Hospitality
Hospitality makes a ‘seat at the table’ for all who who find themselves in need. We welcome all who the Lord brings to us, including and especially, the stranger.
Generosity
The free giving of our financial, emotional, physical and spiritual resources marks the joyful life of a Christian who has received immeasurably more than they deserve from a God who withholds no good thing from those who seek to honor Him with their lives.
The Table
Meals are full of significance. Sharing meals together around a table were at the center of how Jesus lived. In the Gospels Jesus is either going to a meal, at a meal, or coming from a meal, and we want to be people who mirror this, so that we can grow in love for one another. “Few acts are more expressive of companionship than the shared meal. . . . Someone with whom we share food is likely to be our friend, or well on the way to becoming one.” - Carolyn Steele
Curiosity
In a world that says teachability, humility, and the ability to say “I’m Wrong” are liabilities, we want to be curious people. We want to be intellectually curious, relationally curious, and curious about God.
Story
The Biblical Story is not some abstract story that we can pick and choose from, but rather it is the ultimate story that all of our individual stories are wrapped up in. C.S Lewis calls it “The True Myth” meaning it is the story that all other stories find their fulfillment in. We are people of story, and the world is seeking a better story. We want to be people who find our meaning in the story of God, and who help those outside the church find their meaning in the story of God.
