Along with six other churches in nearby cities, these seven churches faced increasing pressure to support and conform to the cultural norms surrounding them. Jesus sends seven messages to these congregations in John’s letter of Revelation. Each letter is intended to comfort, encourage, and warn. While the specific challenges they faced are different from the ones we face, the pressures are much the same.
